We are excited to introduce Virgil Art House, a new creative destination in the heart of Virgil Village. Here, we dedicate ourselves to bringing together artists, musicians, makers, and the local community.
While the name is changing, the spirit of the space remains rooted in creativity and collaboration. We are honored to carry forward the legacy of LA Nave Art Lab. It served as an important home for artists and cultural programming over the years. We recognize the impact LA Nave had on countless creatives, and we hope to build upon that foundation while creating new opportunities for artistic expression and community connection.
We envision Virgil Art House as more than just an art gallery. It will be a place where exhibitions, live music, workshops, performances, and creative gatherings come together under one roof. Whether you’re an emerging artist, an experienced musician, or simply someone who enjoys discovering new ideas and meeting creative people, you’ll always have a place here.
Transformation
Over the coming months, follow our journey as we transform the space through a series of exciting renovations. We’re documenting every step of the process in our Building Virgil Art House series, giving our community a behind-the-scenes look at the work being done to create a welcoming and inspiring environment.
Among the improvements currently underway are a complete renovation of our public restroom, the construction of a dedicated music rehearsal studio, upgrades to our backyard garden gathering space, improvements to our workshop areas, and enhancements throughout the gallery. Each project is designed to better serve artists, performers, and visitors while preserving the character of the building.
As renovations continue, we’re also preparing an exciting calendar of new programming. Upcoming events will include First Friday, a monthly creative open house featuring exhibitions, live music, and community gatherings; Virgil Sessions, an ongoing series of professionally recorded live performances by local musicians; Paint & Sip evenings; artist workshops; outdoor community yoga; and Inked at Virgil, a unique series celebrating tattoo artists and contemporary creative culture.
Our goal is simple: to create one of Los Angeles’ most welcoming and vibrant independent creative venues. It will be a place where people can discover art, make connections, learn new skills, and share ideas.
